1:12 Scale Pear Tart Preparation by fairchildart 1:12 Scale Pear Tart Preparation by fairchildart
Staging this picture with two roaming cats was not an easy feat (the egg and pears are a bit wobbly).

Materials used:

-FIMO and Sculpey brands of polymer clay

-Kato liquid polyclay

-Artist's chalk pastel

-J.W.etc. Clear Varnish

-Ceramic dishes purchased from Ebay

May I ask (as a starting polymer clay food artist) how you did the flour?

I molded white clay in the bowl first, textured it and then added the pastel :)

I was wondering if that might be the case. Is it set permanently in the dish somehow, or just for show on a photo set like this?

It bonded to the ceramic during the curing process, so no worries about it brushing off :D

Another lovely piece :) Great how you differentiated the texture of the yolk and flour so well, it really does look moist!
